The oil change is the one job every Agility 50 owner should do themselves: ten minutes, basic tools, and the engine's most important maintenance done. The Agility uses a washable oil filter screen rather than a cartridge, so the parts list below is short: the screen and its spring if yours is damaged, and the drain-plug assembly if its sealing face has seen too many reuses.

The diagrams for this job

The screen, its cap and the drain plug are drawn on these diagrams for the newest Agility 50 in our catalog; open one to see every bolt and gasket around them.

The job, step by step

  1. Warm the engine, then park on the center stand. A few minutes of idling thins the oil so it drains fully; level ground matters for the dipstick reading later.
  2. Drain the oil. Pan under the drain plug at the bottom of the crankcase, remove the plug, let it drain completely. Inspect the plug's sealing surface and replace the assembly if it's scarred from reuse.
  3. Clean the oil screen. Pull the screen, wash it in clean solvent, and inspect the mesh: a torn screen is a replacement, not a cleaning. Check the screen spring while it's out.
  4. Refill and check the level. Reinstall the plug, refill with the oil grade and quantity from your owner's manual, verify on the dipstick with the scooter level, then run the engine briefly and check again.
  5. Check for leaks. A short ride, then a look at the drain plug and screen cap. Done.

How to confirm fitment for your exact model

Model names repeat across years and regions, so the safest way to order the right oil-change part is to confirm it on your model's own diagram:

  1. Find your machine. Pick it on the All Models page, or decode your VIN with the VIN lookup to land on the exact model year and colour.
  2. Open the diagram. The exploded views mirror KYMCO's factory fiche; the diagram cards on this page show which drawing the oil-change part sits on.
  3. Match the number, then order. Check that the number on the diagram matches the row in the chart, then follow it to the product page on kymcopartsstore.com, where the part is ordered.

If a part number has been superseded, the product page shows the replacement, so you always receive the current factory part.

Find your KYMCO and see every part on its drawingType your VIN or pick the model, year and colour, then click the part on the factory diagram.

Oil capacity, filter and every other service figure for this machine, each with its part number, are on the KYMCO Agility 50 service specs sheet.
